Located within the ‘modern zone’ of the Bournville portfolio, this was a practically laid out property with plenty of potential, the brief was to carefully adapt and extend the house to modernise the house to meet the clients’ needs while creating a wow factor utilising the expanse of green and possibility of views from the first floor. On the ground floor, the existing spaces were opened up to create a generous Kitchen, Dining and Family area, naturally connected to the existing Living room and supported by a new Utility zone while seamless connection between inside and out. The extensions are deliberately angular in character with creating a light-filled glazed dining space that reaches into the garden on the ground floor and a new bedroom suite on the first floor positioned to make the most of the expansive garden views, and completing a thoughtful transformation of the home.
