The brief required a modern ground floor open plan extension to what was the old kitchen. This was to open into the rear garden, for a family who love to entertain. Through the use of a large statement roof lantern and corner patio doors, the quality of the room was designed to be light and airy, while maximising the view of the outdoors.  The new layout had to also incorporate a garage conversion to enable a single bedroom and ensuite.
