This project was for altering and extending an existing 5-bed family home. This Bournville Village Trust property had a large garage and outbuildings (which were attached the the house). The client required an extension to the house which could also become a self contained unit. In order to retain the character of the existing proportions on the frontage, the garage was reduced in depth to the length of a standard car, and the out buildings were removed to make way for a corridor access from the garage leading to a separate door accessing a staircase, shower room and two new rooms looking over the rear garden, as well as an altered Utility / WC to serve the main house.
